Occupational Therapy is the belief that our occupations, what we do every day, have an essential link to our health and well-being, and this defines our identity and role in our environments. Occupational Therapists aim to assist clients with physical, mental, or functional limitations through engaging in purposeful, meaningful activities and interventions. These interventions develop, maintain, improve or restore independence at the highest possible level in activities of daily living. Improving abilities in self-care, work, and leisure within the context of the home, workplace, and community are also areas in which Occupational Therapists intervene.
